CNC Programmer/Operator

Overview
This role will be responsible for programming and operating.

Responsibilities:

  • Program and machine a variety of components for dies, molds, automation, fixtures, and gauges to precise tolerances
  • Capable of working with manual machines as required.
  • Willing to learn and assist, when necessary, with mold and die maintenance activities.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and CAD files.
  • Program, setup & operate CNC machinery to make parts according to specifications.
  • Verify dimensions of machined features for accuracy and conformance to specifications using various precision measuring instruments
  • Write and/or edit programs using Mastercam to optimize and/or correct machine performance.
  • General shop cleaning duties and routine equipment maintenance including conformance to 5S practices on the shop floor.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience programming and operating a CNC vertical machining center
  • Completion (or 3rd year minimum) of a Machinist or Tool & Die Apprenticeship
  • Must have experience programming with Master Cam
  • Experience working with Swiss Machines / sink and / or wire cut machine is considered an asset but not mandatory.
  • Die and Mold build and maintenance experience is considered asset but not mandatory.
